Subject: REVISED XML.ORG BRAGGING RIGHTS
ACXMO Members, The following is a proposed list of "bragging rights" for Regrep benefactors revised per today's conference call. The term "benefactors" (for internal use only) refers to Documentum, Sun, Oracle, IBM and DataChannel. The term "primary benefactors" refers to Documentum and Sun only. 1. The XML.ORG RegRep press release will feature a paragraph describing the specific contributions of the primary benefactors. A sentence aknowleding the donated resources of all the benefactors will be included. 2. The release will also include company quotes from the primary benefactors. (The launch briefing kit will contain a separate quote sheet with endorsements from all XML.ORG Sponsors, Oracle and other choice industry spokespeople.) 3. Benefactors may issue their own press releases regarding their work on XML.ORG RegRep at their discretion. OASIS will provide quotes for those releases if desired. 4. Primary benefactors may have a representative available at all XML.ORG RegRep press and analysts briefings at which they will be given time to discuss their particular contributions. Bios for these representatives will be included in the briefing kit. 5. The RegRep press/analysts briefing kit will feature a data sheet that provides one paragraph on each of the components of the implementation, as provided by primary benefactors. 6. The RegRep press/analysts briefing kit will feature a drawing of the implementation, with the components and their benefactors clearly identified. 7. The logos of the primary benefactors with "Powered by" will appear on a RegRep home page (or on two entry points to the site). This is separate from the XML.ORG home page, where all XML.ORG Sponsor logos appear. The RegRep home page will also feature a link to an "About XML.ORG RegRep." 8. XML.ORG will feature an "About XML.ORG Regrep" page that will briefly describe how the site was built with credit given to benefactors. All the benefactors' logos will appear on this page (larger versions for the primary benefactors). The page will also include a link to the RegRep case study, when complete. 9. Benefactors will collaborate on a full-length case study that will be featured on XML.ORG, as well as on their own sites and in trade pubs. 10. The XML.ORG site will feature a Regrep Endorsements page where benefactor company quotes will be listed first, followed by quotes from other XML.ORG Sponsors and Oracle, followed by OASIS member quotes. 11. Primary benefactors may post the XML.ORG Regrep Web banner on their company sites with the line, "Powered by COMPANY NAME." XML.ORG Sponsors may post the XML.ORG Regrep Web banner on their company sites with the tagline "Sponsored by COMPANY NAME". (All OASIS members will be encouraged to post this banner with no tagline.) 12. Following the launch date, benefactors may freely discuss their Regrep work in public forums. OASIS will support these presentations upon request, when possible. ____________________________________________ Carol Geyer Media Relations Consultant OASIS carol.geyer@oasis-open.org Tel: +1.941.926.2322 Fax: +1.505.210.2878 OASIS http://www.oasis-open.org XML.org http://xml.org XML Cover Pages http://www.oasis-open.org/cover/ ebXML http://www.ebXML.org CGM Open http://www.cgmopen.org
