EXTRICITY SOFTWARE LEADS INDUSTRY IN DRIVING
GLOBAL ADOPTION OF ROSETTANET E-BUSINESS STANDARDS

Extricity Expands Reputation as the 'Standard Behind the Standard' For
RosettaNet,
Extricity Used In Conjunction With More Than 70 Percent of
RosettaNet Pilot Implementations

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.-November 17, 1999-In 1999, Extricity Software,
Inc.,
the leader in providing business-to-business (B2B) ecommerce software for
Global 2000 companies, continued to facilitate the global adoption of the
RosettaNet e-business standards and increase its reputation throughout the
industry as 'Standard Behind the Standard' for RosettaNet. In this
leading
industry role, Extricity Software expanded its customer list of companies
who selected Extricity to provide a business-to-business ecommerce
solution
based on RosettaNet e-business standards, and launched the industry's
first
complete software solution dedicated to RosettaNet. In addition,
Extricity
announced a strategic alliance with PricewaterhouseCoopers to provide the
industry's first comprehensive and packaged software and services solution
dedicated to supporting and deploying RosettaNet e-business standards.

RosettaNet is the leading industry standards body and consortium dedicated
to the development and deployment of electronic commerce partner
interfaces
to align the business processes within the IT and electronic components
supply chain industries. Extricity has rapidly become the de facto
standard
for leading IT companies that have committed to making the global use of
RosettaNet's e-business processes a reality by February 2, 2000. Using
RosettaNet "Partner Interface Processes" (PIPs), these leading companies
are
defining how business processes are conducted over the Internet between
members of the IT supply chain, which include manufacturers, distributors,
resellers, and end users.

To date, Extricity Software has been selected by leading companies,
including CompUSA Inc., Ingram Micro Inc., and Solectron Corp. to
implement
their RosettaNet e-business standards solutions. Extricity has also been
the leading solution provider throughout RosettaNet's pilot implementation
phase, called "EConcert". During EConcert, Extricity has successfully
supported interactions based on RosettaNet PIPs between the following
companies:

CompUSA - Ingram Microsoft - Ingram Micro
Solectron - Ingram Micro
Inacom - Ingram Micro Nortel - Solectron Marshall
Industries - Solectron
Ingram Micro - Nortel

Extricity AllianceInteract for RosettaNet
Extricity Software has supported these successful RosettaNet-based
interactions using a comprehensive new e-business software solution,
called
Extricity AllianceInteract for RosettaNet. Extricity AllianceInteract for
RosettaNet provides support for the RosettaNet Implementation Framework,
as
well as pre-configured, graphical models of RosettaNet PIPs. It also
provides end-to-end process visibility, full PIP auditing and analysis
capabilities, support for a wide variety of firewall configurations and
security policies, and the ability to integrate with enterprise
applications
and middleware systems.

PricewaterhouseCoopers and Extricity Strategic Alliance
In October, Extricity Software announced a strategic alliance with
PricewaterhouseCoopers. The alliance provides a comprehensive and
packaged
software and services solution dedicated to supporting and deploying
global
RosettaNet e-business standards. As an integrator of Extricity
AllianceInteract for RosettaNet business-to-business software,
PricewaterhouseCoopers helps high tech companies easily and rapidly
implement the RosettaNet e-business standards.
