EXTRICITY SOFTWARE NAMED IN TOP 100 EMERGING COMPANIES TO WATCH IN 2000

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.-November 22, 1999-Extricity Software, Inc., the
leader in providing business-to-business (B2B) ecommerce software for
Global
2000 companies, has been named one of the Top 100 Emerging Companies To
Watch in 2000 by Computerworld Magazine. As one of the Top 100 Emerging
Companies in 2000, Extricity Software was recognized for its company and
technology offering of demonstrable value to corporate IT operations in
Fortune 1,000 companies, and for its products and services that represent
a
new and creative approach to an IT issue, and that compete in a new or
emerging market. In addition, Extricity was acknowledged for its ability
to
execute its strategy in terms of revenue, revenue growth, funding and its
management team.

Earlier this year, Computerworld panel members reviewed nomination forms
for
several hundred emerging high technology companies. The panel members
selected 20 to 30 finalist companies in each area for the Emerging
Companies
2000 List. Nomination forms for the finalists were then sent to a panel
comprising information technology industry influencers, including Robert
Metcalfe, vice president of technology at International Data Group; Frank
Gens, senior vice president of Internet research at International Data
Corp.; Pricilla Tate, executive director of Technology Managers Forum
International; Howard Anderson, president of The Yankee Group; Peter G. W.
Keen, chairman of Keen Education; and Charles Feld, CIO of Delta Air Lines
Inc.

"We are extremely pleased to be named as one of the Top 100 Emerging
Companies To Watch in 2000," said Extricity Software's president and CEO
Ken
Ross. "This kind of recognition validates our view of
business-to-business
ecommerce technology; this market is huge and on the verge of massive
explosion over the next couple of years," Ross said. "Extricity has been
focused on B2B since day one, and we will continue to drive and lead this
market through this evolutionary phase."

According to a recent report by Robertson Stephens, an international
investment banking firm specializing in growth companies,
business-to-business transactions account for approximately $17 trillion,
or
85 percent of the total commerce in the U. S. Assuming 10 percent of
these
business-to-business transactions move online by 2003, the implied market
opportunity is $1.7 trillion in the next four years. And, the global
market
could be more than double the U.S. in size, assuming even lower adoption
rates, the report states.
