Chrystal Software Features Eclipse(tm) at XML '99

New President and CEO introduces end-to-end XML solution

San Diego, CA - December 8, 1999 - Chrystal Software, a Xerox New 
Enterprise
Company, highlighted Eclipse at XML'99 in Philadelphia this week. The
company provided free evaluation copies of the solution and allowed
exhibition attendees to "play" with the software in the New Technologies
Nursery.

"This was a terrific venue for introducing Eclipse and my first 
opportunity
to meet with other leaders in this industry," commented David Lonsdale,
President and CEO of Chrystal Software. "It's clear that there is a great
need for XML solutions that connect content to commerce. Demand for the 
demo
CDs was so high that we had to start giving out rain checks!"

Eclipse is an innovative solution incorporating traditional Web pages and
new, interactive content. Eclipse integrates with leading authoring
software, Internet browsers, Web servers, and Web design software, and
supports eXtensible Markup Language (XML) standards.

Lonsdale joined Chrystal Software in October, coming to Chrystal Software
from a series of executive positions at other companies including Sun
Microsystems, A.C. Nielsen, and McDonnell Douglas Corporation. He holds
undergraduate degrees in both Physics and Mathematics from the University 
of
Leeds in England and an MBA from Cornell University. In addition to 
leading
Chrystal Software, Lonsdale is on the boards of several "dot com" 
companies
including Shopnow.com (Nasdaq;SPNW), and sits on the advisory boards of 
two
venture capital companies.
