XML INDUSTRY EVENT NEWS: WebTEK (14-16 March 2000, Quebec)

Greetings,

WebTEK will be held March 14 to 16, 2000 at the Hilton Hotel in Quebec
City. It is a web professionnals' event, aimed at technological leaders
who keep a step ahead! This year WebTEK will be a bilingual event which
will offer a full day of tutorials and 2 days of conference sessions.

Potential conference speakers and interested individuals are hereby
requested to submit a brief proposal of their presentation to WebTEK
2000. We are also looking for organizations who have implemented a
solution that allows them to better communicate with their clients. Of
specific interest are presentations on any of the below listed topics.
The presentations must not exceed 45 minutes.

Tutorials must either be one half or one full day in their duration.
Your abstracts and proposals will be reviewed by the WebTEK conference
committee. The following topics are the conference's main focus:

	
*	Web Site Creation Using XML and Associated Components : XSL, XLL, 
X-pointer

*	Build Sophisticated Web Pages

*	Web Sites Ergonomics

*	Conquer Dynamic HyperText Markup Language DHTML

*	Linux and the Web

*	Develop Servlets with Java

*	Basics of Web TV

*	The Virtual Community

*	Web Security and e-Commerce

*	ERP, Content Management Intranet/Extranet

If interested please submit your proposal in electronic form to Lina

Proposal Requirements

	
*	Speaker's name and complete contact information

*	Title and brief abstract of presentation (approximately 500 words)

*	Specify whether presentation will be a tutorial or conference session

*	Target audience (management, technical, case study)

*	A brief biography of speaker

*	Speaker's photograph in electronic format (EPS, JPG, TIFF)

*	Level (beginner, intermediate, expert)


Deadline : Presentation abstracts must be submitted before Wednesday, 
December 15, 1999
