Arbortext Appoints Brenda Jones as Vice President, Services

Newly created position chartered to expand training and consulting services,
target strategic service partnerships, and recruit technology professionals

ANN ARBOR, Mich., October 17, 2000 -- Arbortext, Inc., a leading provider of
enterprise content integration and business-to-business e-commerce
solutions, today announced the appointment of Brenda Jones to the position
of vice president, services.  Jones assumes this position immediately and is
based in Arbortext’s world headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

In response to Arbortext’s strong growth in providing solutions for net
marketplaces, online service information and e-publishing, Jones will lead
the training and consulting teams to enhance and expand Arbortext’s
professional services and training offerings.  Jones will also be
responsible for developing strategic service partnerships that complement
the company’s cutting-edge technology, successful product line, and
well-respected professional services group.  Jones will recruit additional
high-energy technology professionals to join the existing talented Arbortext
teams in the Ann Arbor, San Jose, Boston, London and Paris offices.
