Press Release XML Global and Altova Enter into Product Alliance Agreement London, UK, XML One Conference, October 19th, 2000 - XML Global Technologies, Inc. (www.xmlglobal.com), developers of the world's premier XML based search and transformation e-business software products, goXML(tm) and expressXCHG(tm), today announced it has entered into a product alliance agreement with Altova, a leading provider of XML tools, including XML Spy (www.xmlspy.com). XML Spy is the first true IDE (Integrated Development Environment) for XML, and has recently passed the 10,000 licenses mark being used by more than 4,500 corporations worldwide. Under the terms of the agreement XML Global and Altova will bundle XML Global's patented EDI/XML transformation engine, expressXCHG(tm), with Altova's XML editor, XML Spy. The integration of these two key XML technologies will enable corporations to use expressXCHG(tm) to transform all EDI legacy data to XML and then use the XML Spy editor version 3.5 within a completely Integrated Development Environment. XML Spy version 3.5, extends the existing functionality of Altova's XML development environment by adding the first integrated XML Schema editor which supports the most recent W3C Schema draft. In addition product alliance agreement XML Global and Altova have agreed to develop and collaborate on a co-marketing initiative to increase the distribution of the enhanced version of the XML Spy.
