ITEDO ships IsoDraw with WebCGM and SVG support

Effective immediately, ITEDO Software starts to deliver IsoDraw 5 and 
IsoDraw 5 CADprocess for Windows 9x and Windows NT/Windows 2000.

Both products support WebCGM and SVG file formats for deployment of 
technical illustrations as vector data on the Internet. Unlike other 
formats, both WebCGM and SVG are open standard vector formats defined by 
W3C and eliminate the need to use proprietary formats thus making 
corporations independent from software manufacturers throughout the entire 
life cycle of their products.

IsoDraw 5 provides many new and enhanced tools to create technical 
illustrations for manuals, operating and maintenance instructions or 
assembly instructions resulting in higher productivity and reduced cost. 
Existing data such as 2D CAD data or scanned images can be reused for 
technical illustration. Dedicated tools convert flat 2D data into a 
perspective illustration resulting in faster availability of professional 
technical illustrations with reduced effort compared to creation of new 
illustrations from scratch.

IsoDraw 5 CADprocess -for the first time ever- allows to automatically 
convert 3D CAD data into technical illustrations. Well known formats such 
as IGES, DWG and DXF are supported by IsoDraw 5 CADprocess. After selecting 
the desired perspective, 3D CAD data is automatically converted into a 
technical illustration including the elimination of hidden lines and 
displaying ?thick-thin-lines" based on technical illustration standards. 
Instead of several hours of manual work required previously, a professional 
technical illustration can now automatically be converted from 3D CAD data 
within a few minutes. IsoDraw 5 CADprocess has been tested and optimized 
with market leading CAD systems such as ProEngineer, CATIA, Solid Edge, 
AutoCAD and others and offers an unmatched quality when using 3D CAD data 
as a basis for technical illustrations.

Both products contain the Link2Source? technology. This technology allows 
IsoDraw products to detect changes made to an imported source file and 
automatically apply all changes to the technical illustration. This 
technology allows using prototype data to create technical illustrations 
even before the final product design is available, consequently resulting 
in earlier availability of the product documentation.
