FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BOWSTREET CTO ANDY ROBERTS BECOMES ADVISER TO NEOCORE
Leading technologist shares vision for XML information management
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - Nov. 26, 2001 - NeoCore today announced the
addition of Andy Roberts, chief technology officer of Web-services leader
Bowstreet, as an adviser to the company. At Bowstreet, Roberts
provides the company's technical vision and participates in the design of
Bowstreet's technology and products, including Bowstreet's XML
initiatives.
Roberts was instrumental in helping NeoCore adopt an XML-based product
strategy. "Having a professional with Andy's reputation and
recognized technical expertise join our leadership team is a significant
addition to NeoCore's resources," said Tim Dix, chairman and CEO of
NeoCore. "As a company that recognizes the magnitude of XML's
role in Web applications, NeoCore will benefit from Andy's technological
foresight and experience developing and evangelizing dynamic Web service
applications."
XML is a key technology component of B2B applications such as the
Bowstreet(tm) Business Web Factory, a Web services development and
assembly platform that automates the creation and maintenance of complex
Web applications on demand. The Business Web Factory enables
Fortune 500 enterprises to form dynamic, distributed networks that
leverage the strengths of the entire value chain while providing rich,
streamlined Web experiences for their employees, partners and
customers. NeoCore XML Information Management System (XMS), a
high-performance native XML database, provides the extremely fast and
efficient storage and information infrastructure required by these types
of new economy applications.
Prior to joining Bowstreet in 1998, Roberts held product and technical
management positions with Parametric Technology Corp., BankBoston and
Citicorp. He holds a bachelor's degree in physics from Harvard
University and a master's degree in engineering from Massachusetts
Institute of Technology.
"NeoCore is a leader in XML information management," Roberts
said. "The company's innovative Digital Pattern Processing
technology provides the foundation for extremely fast native XML
processing that scales easily and supports the flexible and dynamic
characteristics of XML. These features are critical to developing
adaptable applications in today's competitive business
environment."
