Subject: [announce] Invitation to XBRL International Conference - Berlin - 4-8March 2002

Please find below a description and invitation to the upcoming XBRL
International conference, focused on financial services, in Berlin, 4-8
March 2002.

Briefly, XBRL ("eXtensible Business Reporting Language") is the XML standard
for business reporting, including such uses as financial statements,
regulatory filings, general ledger, tax filings, statistics, and other kinds
of non-financial reporting. It can be used by every organization in every
industry. XBRL International is a consortium of over 130 companies,
organizations and government agencies working on XBRL development and
adoption in five continents.

The 4th International XBRL Conference - March 4-8, 2002 in Berlin.
This year's conference will be held at Grand Hotel Westin in Berlin, the
traditional capital of Germany, on March 4 - 8, 2002. The theme of this
conference is "XBRL Meets the Needs of Financial Services". Different tracks
will focus on the impact of XBRL on:
      - Banking and Insurance Regulatory Reporting
      - Credit Risk Monitoring
During the opening public day, XBRL will be officially introduced for the
first time to the financial community in Germany, with a keynote
presentation by NASDAQ Europe CEO Mike Sanderson. Highlights of the
conference will include the introduction of the International Accounting
Standards and the German-GAAP taxonomies, the release of the XBRL General
Ledger taxonomy, and the establishment of new XBRL work items for the
banking and insurance sectors, among others. Broad participation of XBRL
users and vendors can be expected.

Please note: the conference is scheduled for the entire week of 4-8 March,
but Monday and Friday (March 4th and 8th) are for XBRL members only; the
public (non-members, and those being introduced to XBRL for the first time)
are invited to attend 5-7 March.

Please feel free to pass this invitation on to those you feel might be
interested. Thank you. If I can answer any questions or assist in any way,
please don't hesitate to let me know. We look forward to seeing you in
Berlin!

Regards to all,

Zack
