Garcia has joined NeoCore as vice president of field operations. In his new role, Garcia will be accountable for overall demand generation and revenue production, with responsibilities for sales, business development, field marketing, customer support and professional services. NeoCore's product, the NeoCore XML Information Management System (XMS), is a self-constructing native XML database that enables rapid application development of dynamic business applications and Web Services. Eric "Ric" Miles, NeoCore president and chief executive officer, said Garcia's broad expertise in technology, business and leadership will allow NeoCore to scale to the next level. "Dave brings an extensive background in Internet technology, software, business strategy, mergers & acquisitions, venture funding and executive management to NeoCore," Miles said. Before joining NeoCore, Garcia founded CustomerSoft, Inc., where he served as president and chief executive officer. While there, he successfully raised financing to build a customer relationship management software company focused on enterprise solutions for mid-tier companies in the financial services, technology and manufacturing industries. Prior to CustomerSoft, Garcia was vice president of sales and marketing at Bendata, Inc. (now FrontRange Solutions); and director of sales and marketing overseeing sales, marketing and customer service at Corning Inc.. Garcia earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Colorado and a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas.
