XyEnterprise and Corel Corporation Provide Integrated XML Authoring and
Publishing Solution
Customers Improve ROI and Speed Time to Market with the Corel-XyEnterprise
Offering

READING, MA and OTTAWA, ON - July 09, 2002 - XyEnterprise, a developer of
XML content management and enterprise publishing solutions, and Corel
Corporation (NASDAQ: CORL, TSX: COR) announced today an ongoing partnership
to deliver an integrated XML content creation and high-volume publishing
solution for enterprise customers. This partnership delivers a complete XML
infrastructure for single source publishing environments.

Serving a number of key clients including Freightliner Corporation, this
integrated solution enables customers to use Corel® XMetaL® for XML content
creation and seamlessly leverage the high-volume “assemble and publish”
capabilities of XyEnterprise XML Professional Publisher (XPP).
The intuitive Corel XMetaL interface simplifies the XML creation process by
providing an environment as familiar and easy to use as a standard word
processor. Through the integration, XML content is sent directly to the XPP
high-speed composition engine to produce high-quality postscript and PDF
output. As a result, enterprise customers are able to reduce time to market
and increase returns on investment. This offering provides a compelling
solution for customers in a variety of industries including manufacturing,
finance, e-learning and government.

Freightliner Corporation, the leading heavy-duty truck manufacturer in North
America, uses the Corel-XyEnterprise solution to create and deliver product
marketing and support documentation for their complete line of trucks. Used
in conjunction with the XyEnterprise content management system Content@, XML
content is authored in Corel XMetaL and published with XPP.

Donna Loper, Manager of Corporate Publishing at Freightliner stated, “The
combined tools enable us to be more competitive in our ability to document
and deliver world-class products. By adopting XML data and leading XML
products such as XMetaL, Content@ and XPP, we are able to reduce the cost of
product delivery and create customized publications to enhance product
marketing and support efforts.”

Bruce Sharpe, executive vice-president of XML content solutions at Corel
Corporation stated, “The combination of Corel and XyEnterprise technologies
offers enterprise customers a very compelling solution to leverage XML
content for high-quality and high-volume printing. It is a powerful
automated solution that provides impressive productivity for this critical
part of the publishing process.”

Richard Pasewark, vice president sales and marketing, XyEnterprise
commented, “Like Corel, we believe that XML is one of the single most
important tools for enhancing business processes and driving business
growth. Our relationship with Corel enables us to meet the needs of
customers in many markets who benefit from simplified XML content creation
and single source publishing applications.”
