Nimble Technology(tm) Releases Nimble Integration Suite(tm) 2.0

Nimble Technology Releases Updated Version Of XML-Based Data
Integration Software Platform For Web Services And Applications

ODBC Functionality Gives Businesses Access To Wide Range Of Enterprise
Data Sources Using Existing Applications And XQuery Support For XML
Seattle, WA - For Immediate Release -- Nimble Technology, Inc.
(www.nimble.com <http://www.nimble.com>) today announced the release of the
Nimble Integration Suite(tm) 2.0. The Nimble Integration Suite 2.0's
patent-pending technology is the first data and information integration
platform to provide both Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) and XQuery
access. Nimble's software gives enterprises a powerful tool to integrate and
access multiple data sources, inside and outside the firewall, for real-time
data integration and information sharing capability.
"By incorporating ODBC functionality into the Nimble Integration Suite,
we've given enterprises access to data stored within their company using
their existing applications and reporting tools such as Crystal Reports,"
said Suzan DelBene, CEO of Nimble Technology. Now those tools can access a
broad set of information beyond that stored in a single data source."
The Nimble Integration Suite 2.0's XQuery functionality enables enterprises
to query disparate data sources using an XML standard query language.

"By supporting current (ODBC) and future (XQuery) interfaces, the Nimble
Integration Suite 2.0 is the only information integration product that
provides support for existing applications within enterprises as well as
those applications supporting emerging XML standards ," said DelBene.
Denise Draper, chief technical officer of Nimble Technology, is actively
involved in developing the XQuery standard through her work with the World
Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) XQuery Working Group.

The Nimble Integration Suite 2.0's ability to access and query multiple data
sources and data formats reduces the need and cost of custom coding which
is the most common technique for integrating information today. Using the
Nimble Integration Suite, IT departments can speed the development of a
digital cockpit or other web services and applications.
The Nimble Integration Suite 2.0's approach to data integration includes:
	*	Comprehensive access to underlying data - XML has the unique
ability to consistently express many different data formats. Nimble's query
processing engine uses XML internally to address both relational data, and
non-relational data such as semi-structured data, hierarchical systems, XML
data and flat files.
	*	Performance - The Nimble platform optimizes access to data,
providing an efficient real-time view of underlying systems. Also, Nimble's
cache lets customers strike the correct balance between real-time needs and
optimizing response time or operational systems needs.
	*	Flexibility for changing business needs - Companies can
scale their integration solution. New data sources can be easily added to
the Nimble Integration Suite, providing enterprises with a view of data
integrated from multiple divisions, companies, or outside partners and data
providers.
The Nimble Integration Suite 2.0's new features also include:

	*	Enhanced Concordance Support - The Nimble Concordance
Developer creates a framework to specify business rules and automate a
process to reconcile differences in how various data sources represent the
same things, such as persons, products and accounts. Version 2.0 includes
more powerful and efficient matching techniques and enhanced concordance
database management capabilities, including specialized support for Oracle.
	*	Access to LDAP data - The NIS Suite can now integrate data
from sources, such as corporate employee information systems, that use the
Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP). Pre-built templates for
accessing Microsoft Active Directory and Sun's iPlanet are provided.
	*	Front-end reporting - Support for Crystal Reports and
Microsoft Excel aid users in preparing reports of their data integration
results.

"As enterprise IT departments begin building Web services and applications
such as an enterprise portal, digital cockpit, or other critical
applications, they soon realize the difficult challenge involved in
integrating and accessing multiple data sources and formats stored both
inside and outside the firewall," said DelBene. "With the Nimble Integration
Suite 2.0, we continue to give enterprises a solution for integrating a wide
range of data sources, including relational, XML and legacy data sources."
