Arbortext Appoints Mark Benfer as Vice President Sales

John Ford Assumes Vice President Business Development


ANN ARBOR, Mich., January 13, 2003 -- Arbortext, Inc., the only global
provider of XML-based multichannel software that enables the creation,
editing and publishing of information to Web, print, CD-ROM and wireless
from a single source of content, today named Mark Benfer as its Vice
President Sales, effective immediately.  Reporting directly to Arbortext
Chief Executive Officer Raymond Schiavone, Benfer will be responsible for
managing the company’s worldwide sales efforts.

John Ford, previously Arbortext’s Vice President Sales, immediately
assumes its Vice President Business Development position and is
responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow the global
partner network and future business relationships.
