Record first-half performance for Fast 50 winner, Blast Radius

VANCOUVER, B.C. -- Blast Radius Inc. is pleased to announce continued profitability and $16.9 million in first-half revenues, a 57 per cent increase over the same period last year; and that it has once again been named to the 2004 Deloitte Canadian Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Canada.

"Our acquisition of XMetaL, a framework for XML content creation, along with our world-class services and upcoming fall release of our collaboration product are deepening our ability to help companies deliver integrated customer experiences across multiple channels," said Gurval Caer, president and CEO of Blast Radius. "As a result, we are enjoying stellar performance."

Fast 50 rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over a five-year period. Blast Radius was listed on both the Fast 50 and the North American Technology Fast 500 lists last year with 7064 per cent revenue growth. With steady revenue growth last year and revenues likely to increase by more than 50 per cent this year, Blast Radius is expected to continue to be a leading technology company in the years to come.

In a news release issued by Deloitte last week, Garry Foster, the company's national director of technology, media and telecommunications, said, "The increased number of repeat finalists signals the industry is steadily progressing and maturing. Being able to generate consistent revenue growth for more than five consecutive years demonstrates that these companies have found the recipe for success and sustainability. As the economic climate continues to improve, these companies are well positioned to capitalize on the promising business opportunities that lay ahead."

Winners of the 20 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in Canada and the United States are automatically entered in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America's 500 fastest growing technology companies.
