Subject: OOSD Moscow 2004 Call for Papers Now Open
OASIS Open Standards Day "Interoperability Standards for Emerging Economies," to be held October 12, 2004 in Moscow, announces that its Call for Papers is now open. This one-day event is designed for providers, integrators, and buyers of business and government integration solutions. Presentations should focus on the development and application of open standards in areas such as Web services implementation, service-oriented architectures (SOA), business process management and transactional security. Deadline for abstracts is September 3. Topics will include the role of standards in IT as well as all aspects of Web services and service-oriented architectures (SOA), including integration within and across enterprises: Interoperability and Standards Drivers Behind Standards Adoption Emerging Economies Success Stories Web Services Stack ebXML Framework The Business Case for SOA Transitioning Successfully to SOA Federated Web Services Discovery Orchestration Web Services Management Business Process Management Security Speaker Candidates Ideal candidates are OASIS TC chairs and active contributors to specifications relevant to conference topics. Prominent implementers, integrators and users of OASIS specifications, Web services technologies and SOAs are also welcome. If you have potential to deliver a substantive, challenging and original presentation, you are encouraged to submit a proposal. In the proposal, please highlight your credentials and previous speaking engagements. Benefits of Speaking Organizers will provide all visiting speakers with two-night accommodation at the centrally-located luxurious Sheraton Palace Hotel. The event is timed to follow shortly after the OASIS Symposium in Brussels, making it a convenient occasion for that visit to Russia you have always wanted to make, but could not justify. Event's Russian host - OASIS member UnitSpace - will provide visa support, transportation to and from the airport, and will do everything to make your stay in Moscow enjoyable. Speakers will receive visibility in pre-conference promotion in print and online. They will also receive exposure via the accompanying OOSD Interoperability Standards for Emerging Economies portal for months prior to and following the conference. Sessions may be recorded and made available via the Internet to a wider audience (at the discretion of conference organizers). Guidelines for Submitting a Proposal If you want to be a speaker at OOSD in Moscow, please email submissions@open-standards.ru now and make sure to submit your proposal on or before September 3. Timing constraints are not flexible as they are caused by visa processing requirements. Please consider the following: All submissions remain the property of their owners. All conference sessions are vendor-neutral. Proprietary or confidential information should not be included. Submissions deadline is September 3, 2004. OASIS will notify potential candidates beginning August 16, 2004. Final materials from presenters are due by October 1, 2004.
