Contact jane.harnad@oasis-open.org for details.*** PROGRAM AGENDA The OASIS Forum is a one-day event designed specifically for providers, integrators and users of e-Business systems within public administration and private enterprise. The Forum will feature presentations that will enable attendees to learn about the development and adoption of open standards in the areas of Web services, e-Government, and localisation. The Forum will open with a keynote address from Alejandro Moya, IST eGovernment Unit, Head of Sector, Directorate General Information Society, European Commission. Mr. Moya will discuss the value and need for e-business and e-government systems to be implemented using internationally developed and approved open standards. The event will close with an interactive panel discussing issues that include: implementation/conversion costs, e-business barriers between borders, standards working together, and the steps needed to be taken when implementing open standards. All attendees are invited to the Forum reception immediately following the closing panel.
