DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE CERTIFIES DATAPOWER XS40 XML SECURITY GATEWAY DataPower Continues To Receive Recognition for Government Grade Security Capabilities and Leading Interoperability CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - February 7, 2005 - DataPower(r), the leading provider of network hardware for securing and routing XML messages, announced today that its most widely deployed DataPower XS40 XML Security Gateway(tm) has received Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) interoperability certification for the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), after rigorous testing by the JITC Certification Lab personnel at a military base. JITC certification is a required pre-cursor to validating true interoperability of Public Key Enabled products according to the DoD PKI requirements, and is another example of DataPower's leadership in providing purpose-built and tested security that is strong enough to meet these most stringent requirements.
