Identity Insight Compliance Solution Ensures Identity and Web Services Use Complies with Privacy and Data Protection Laws

BELMONT, CA, June 28, 2005 — Reactivity®, Inc., the leader in secure XML infrastructure, today introduced Identity InsightÔ, an add-on module delivering the industry’s first comprehensive solution to ensure that Web services use complies with the privacy and data protection requirements of government and corporate regulations, while managing the identity complexity in distributed XML-based systems.  These new advanced tracking, alerting, reporting and XML message manipulation capabilities, made possible by Reactivity’s Advanced Messaging Architecture™, simplify the compliant use of Web services and federated digital identities, while enabling enterprises to respond proactively to non-compliant XML traffic situations and improper identity usage.

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act requires that US public companies create and demonstrate compliance with policies that enforce administrative controls over financial activities.  The Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and EU Privacy Directive all require corporations to enact and enforce security measures to ensure that sensitive information remains private while also providing a means to track and identify who accessed what and when.  Reactivity’s Gateways with Identity Insight simplify the use of XML Web services and digital identities in this environment by providing a comprehensive set of centralized services to ensure and prove that their use is compliant, while providing flexible mechanisms to deal with them when they aren’t.  Configurable capture of metadata about XML messages, as well as identities, provides detailed identity, compliance and privacy tracking, and regulatory reporting.
