SOA Software Extends Oracle Identity Management Capabilities to Enterprise Services and SOA

Company certifies Oracle Identity Management with Policy Manager and Service Manager products

Los Angeles, CA – October, 20, 2009 – SOA Software today announced Oracle Identity Management certification with Policy Manager and Service Manager products. This certification allows customers to leverage their investment in Oracle Identity Management solutions to authenticate and authorize enterprise services and applications across their SOA initiatives as part of a comprehensive SOA Governance solution. SOA Software lowers the cost of enterprise SOA Governance by providing a unified solution that leverages existing security and operations infrastructure.

SOA Software provides a single unified solution for operational SOA Governance including service registry, monitoring, security, routing and virtualization. By adding SOA Software’s Policy Manager to their Oracle Access Manager deployment, customers gain comprehensive support for advanced identity management standards including SAML, WS-Trust and XACML. With SOA Software’s Service Manager, they can use Oracle Access Manager to authenticate and authorize enterprise service requests across a wide array of message styles, protocols and platforms. For example, an application written using Microsoft WCF can use the Service Manager Delegate to request a SAML assertion for a user from Oracle Identity Manager and use this SAML assertion to identify itself to the enterprise services it invokes. The services invoked by the application can then validate the assertion and can use Service Manager to authorize the request validating it against Oracle Access Manager.
