Subject: CFP SIMULTECH 2013 - 3rd International Conference on Simulation and Modeling Methodologies, Technologies and Applications
CALL FOR PAPERS 3rd International Conference on Simulation and Modeling Methodologies, Technologies and Applications - SIMULTECH 2013 Website: http://www.simultech.org/ July 29 - 31, 2013 Reykjavík, Iceland Important Deadlines: Regular Paper Submission: February 6, 2013 Authors Notification (regular papers): April 4, 2013 Final Regular Paper Submission and Registration: April 23, 2013 Sponsored by: INSTICC- Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication Co-Organized by: Reykjavik University INSTICC is Member of: OMG- Object Management Group WfMC- Workflow Management Coalition The purpose of the 3rd International Conference on Simulation and Modeling Methodologies, Technologies and Applications (SIMULTECH) is to bring together researchers, engineers, applied mathematicians and practitioners interested in the advances and applications in the field of system simulation. Four simultaneous tracks will be held, covering on one side domain independent methodologies and technologies and on the other side practical work developed in specific application areas. The specific topics listed under each of these tracks highlight the interest of this conference in aspects related to computing, including Conceptual Modeling, Agent Based Modeling and Simulation, Interoperability, Ontologies, Knowledge Based Decision Support, Petri Nets, Business Process Modeling and Simulation, amongst others. SIMULTECH focuses on bridging formal methods and real world applications; therefore authors should highlight the benefits of Simulation Methodologies and Technologies for industry and services, either in general or for particular applications. Ideas on how to solve business problems, using simulation and modeling methodologies and technologies, will arise from the conference. Papers describing advanced prototypes, systems, tools and techniques and general survey papers indicating future directions are also encouraged. Papers describing original work are invited in any of the areas listed below. Accepted papers, presented at the conference by one of the authors, will be published in the Proceedings of SIMULTECH. Acceptance will be based on quality, relevance and originality. Both full research reports and work-in-progress reports are welcome. There will be both oral and poster sessions. Special sessions, dedicated to case-studies and commercial presentations, as well as tutorials dedicated to technical/scientific topics are also envisaged: companies interested in presenting their products/methodologies or researchers interested in holding a tutorial, workshop or special session are invited to contact the conference secretariat or visit the conference website. Conference Co-chairs Mohammad S. Obaidat, Monmouth University, United States Slawomir Koziel, Reykjavik University, Iceland PROGRAM CO-CHAIRS Tuncer Ören (honorary), University of Ottawa, Canada Janusz Kacprzyk, Systems Research Institute - Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland Leifur Leifsson, Reykjavik University, Iceland Keynote SPEAKERS SIMULTECH 2013 will have several invited keynote speakers, who are internationally recognized experts in their areas. Their names are not yet confirmed. PUBLICATIONS All accepted papers (full, short and posters) will be published in the conference proceedings, under an ISBN reference, on paper and on CD-ROM support. All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SciTePress Digital Library (http://www.scitepress.org/DigitalLibrary/). SciTePress is member of CrossRef (http://www.crossref.org/). A short list of presented papers will be selected so that revised and extended versions of these papers will be published by Springer-Verlag in a CCIS Series book. The proceedings will be submitted for indexation by Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index, INSPEC, DBLP and EI. AWARDS Best paper awards will be distributed during the conference closing session. Please check the website for further information (http://www.simultech.org/BestPaperAward.aspx).
