Title: Minutes from ASAP Conference call Tue Aug 31
Minutes from ASAP Conference Call Tue Aug 31
Attendees
- Dee Schur, OASIS
- Jamie Clark, OASIS
- Justin Brunt, TIBCO
- Layna Fischer, WfMC
- Sameer Pradhan, Fujitsu
Notes
- We have the date/time for the ASAP presentation/demo slot at the Delphi Conference in San Diego: Thursday Oct 7th 9.15am to 10.00am. Dee had a question whether this much time is enough? Most likely yes, but Dee and Keith should touch base on that. Jamie would like to touch base with Keith, and confirm the presenter.
- We have the date and time for the ASAP presentation/demo at the WfMC meeting & seminar in Pisa, Italy: Wednesday Oct 13th 5pm Italy time, 8am Pacific Time. Layna reported a great response, 80% of the capacity is already booked.
- Advantys, France, a member of both OASIS and WfMC, is coming on board as an ASAP demo participant. They are ready to participate in at Pisa. It would be good idea to have them participate at the Delphi conference as well. Jamie noted that the keys are to contact and involve the right people there and work within the short execution time available.
- Getting more vendor participation for the demo at Delphi: Dee noted that unless Handysoft become OASIS member again, they would be precluded from the demo. Dee will contact Robert Cain (rcain@handysoft.com) at Handysoft. We should canvass for more vendors to participate. We should work towards having Advantys participate at San Diego.
- Jamie advised that the group should continue to refine the way ASAP is described; to succinctly describe the benefit of ASAP and the problem that it solves. He advised that we should include such a slide in the presentation.
- Layna mentioned that there is great interest in having an end user talk about how they have implemented a solution using ASAP. Jamie thought it would be too early for that.
- Justin reported that the Swindon ASAP server will be moved over the next week or two, and that for some time they will have two servers hosting ASAP.
- Sameer reported that the ASAP server at Fujitsu is being monitored daily, and that it has been consistently available since mid-August.
- Next conf call will be in two weeks.
