REVIEW OF BDE WORKING DRAFT 3
It was debated whether there might be IPR issues with using the requirements from CEN BII directly (albeit these have been submitted to the TC on two occasions). It was furthermore noted that the TC might have further requirements
besides the CEN BII requirements, why it was decided that the TC should write and maintain its own requirements document. Kenneth committed to finalize such document before the end of this week, so that the TC can review and comment on these already next week
with the aim to be able to vote on a draft BDE committee specification for public review at the next TC meeting March 4.
The meeting went on to discuss the comments from Kees’ email:

The discussion continued after the official TC meeting was ended. The conclusions of the discussion are available here:

SMP REST BINDING IDENTIFIER ISSUE
Pim had brought up a potential issue with the length of the SMP REST binding identifier:
https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/bdxr/201502/msg00003.html
It was concluded that this is isolated to the editing of the BDXL committee specification, which does not include a complete reference to the SMP committee specification (due to the fact that the SMP specification wasn’t
published until 8 months after the BDXL specification was finalized). The agreed resolution was to update this in future editions of BDXL. The meeting did not identify any functional issues nor did we identify any issues related to the SMP specification. Kenneth’s
response can be found here:

UPDATE ON BDXL AND SMP STATEMENTS OF USE
No updates on statements of use.
