I think that the URL to be specified in the svn client should be:

 

https://wsbpel4people.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/wsbpel4people/Specifications/

 

If I indicate the shorter URL https://wsbpel4people.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/wsbpel4people 

then it checks out the entire repository, including Subversion's own management files within the repository.  This seems weird, I don't know if it's normal or not, but it seems dangerous.  Anyway, I did a check-out by indicating the first (the longer) URL above instead of the shorter one, and it only checks out the files that need to be checked out.
