Subject: Re: [bpel4people] BP-79: Interoperability between task parents and taskprocessors from different vendors
Yoichi, the current state of the spec does not preempt any resolution for
issues BP-28 - BP-34, which is work in progress and may introduce new task
types if needed. As a result, BP-79 is a duplicate - this is really just a
formal point. The state of the routing patterns discussion can be seen in
the F2F presentation and the minutes from the bi-weekly working sessions in
the OASIS mail archive.

Subject: Re: [bpel4people] BP-79: Interoperability between task parents and task processors from different vendors
Hi:
I don't follow what the development on this issue is.
As I commented, the specification seems to have only TYPE=HUMANTASK and
NOTIFICATION.
Does it preempt that there will be more task types expected, such as you
seem to indicate along the line of SIMPLETASK and COMPLEXTASK (with sub
categories?).
Since I cannot get the Complex Task and Subtask document, can someone
clarify on this on this or point me to where the documents are?
Thanks,
Yoichi,

Subject: [bpel4people] New Issue: Interoperability between task
parents and task processors from different vendors
All,
Following up on the discussion from the F2F, we would like to open an
issue tracking the proposal to add support for interoperable “simple
tasks” to WS-HT, i.e. enabling task parents to register new simple
tasks on a task processor remotely. This would allow task parents and
task processors from different vendors to easily interoperate in task
scenarios that involve simple tasks.
http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/bpel4people/email/archives/200901/msg00011.html
has the original proposal. The attached draft we presented earlier
in February during the alternating wed conf calls. We are currently
working out another iteration in collaboration with SAP.
Thanks,
Alex Malek
