Subject: [bt-spec] Issue 95: fault data for WrongState FAULT
- From: Tony Fletcher <tony.fletcher@choreology.com>

Dear
Colleagues,
Tony's
thoughts:
This comment in
stating that the table which defines the Fault Type parameter, its meaning and
the corresponding Fault data parameter of the FAULT message does not have an
entry for Fault Data against the Fault Type of Wrongstate. Several of
the definitions of other (abstract) messages indicate wrongstate situations that
could occur. However there is no complete list of Wrongstate values
anywhere. Several of the other fault types do have a fault data entry of
"Free text explanation".
Proposed
solution:
In the FAULT
message definition, in the table of Fault type - Meaning - Fault data
in the row for Wrongstate add in cell for the Fault data column "Free text
explanation".
[Perhaps add a note
to say that it is recommended that this is of the form either
<<letter digit>> where this is the state designation from state
tables in the BTP specification, or of the form <<MessageType
sent>> or <<MessageType received>>
]
Best Regards
Tony
