Subject: RE: [business-transaction] OASIS rules on publicity
Well pointed out Mark... At this point and certainly what I want to promote at Java One is the BTP spec itself 1) Why we need it - the problem, the "white space" that exists today in the standard stack, and that real commercial intra and inter-enterprise business needs this. 2) Overview of How BTP solves the problem being faced - high level. 3) BTP's relationship and real value add to other standards efforts - RossettaNet and ebXML etc.. 4) Hopefully announce a JSR and the participants involved That's it - I think this will be a great opportunity to educate and get people interested in the spec and its application to their problem domains. -----Original Message----- From: Mark Little [mailto:mcl@arjuna.com] Sent: Thursday, October 11, 2001 2:28 AM To: BTP Subject: [business-transaction] OASIS rules on publicity I know that several people have voiced concerns about about BTP publicity, and how to go about it. I checked with HPs OASIS representative, and he pointed out the following: > - make sure everyone knows that TCs aren't allowed to do their own > publicity, and the members shouldn't be claiming "OASIS conformance" to a TC > spec.
