Subject: [business-transaction] Application for membership of BTP TC from TonyFletcher
Dear Colleagues, What Peter says below should have been true, but I ran out of time to send you a message yesterday - sorry to all - especially Peter. If I may introduce myself. My name is Tony (see below for contact information). I worked for BT in the UK for 26? years on various topics including OSI Upper Layer protocols and especially Transaction Processing, interactive EDI and electronic commerce system evaluation and design. I left BT at the end of Sept 01 and immediately joined Choreology 1 Oct 2001, where I am working on related standards activities and internal matters. On the standards front I have a interest in ebXML and in particular the OASIS Collaboration-Protocol Profile and Agreement (CPP/A) TC and the Business Process groups of eBTWG (and especially the Business Collaboration Protocol team). I am member of OASIS by virtue of Choreology's membership (and also I am an individual member until next July). I apply to join the Business Transaction Protocol (BTP) Technical Committee. I understand that this application will become effective in 7 days time (unless rejected for any reason) and I then need to participate in three meetings as an 'observer' before becoming a voting member of the committee. I have already 'sat in' on meetings. I look forward to working with you all.
