Subject: [business-transaction] Additional issues for vote (47 and 49 aredependent on issue 77)
If the proposed solution to issue 77 is accepted Issues 47 and 49 can also be closed. These discuss the use and syntax of a Handle. The proposed resolution to issue 77 removes Handle and replaces it with identifier where appropriate. William Z Pope zpope@pobox.com
BTP Issue 47 : Handle and Identifier Jan 29, 2002 ========================================================================= Description: Is there anything preventing a Handle being the same as an Identifier? I know that the inverse doesn't make sense, but Handle-to-Identifier would appear to. ========================================================================= Proposed solution: The proposed solution to issue 77, which in turn depends on the resolution of Issue 78, removes the handles completely and just uses identifiers.
BTP Issue 49 : Type of Handle Jan 29, 2002 ========================================================================= Description: There is no definition of what a Handle is, e.g., a hex string, a free form string, etc. ========================================================================= Proposed solution: The resolution is to remove the use of handle and replace it with identifer. Depends on Issue 47, which depends on Issue 77, which depends on Issue 78.
