Subject: RE: [business-transaction] WS-I

Bill

I have just returned from 2 days at the WS-I and I will tell you there is
definitely scope for addressing this but the next 180 days is dedicated to
the basic profile, as you said, and that is no small undertaking given what
ambiguities across WSDL, SOAP and USSI that exist today, and were identified
by the profile group in 2 days! Anything like reliable messaging,
transactions and security will be much later.

However there is nothing in the WS_I charter to stop members approaching the
board about new profiles and working groups - I simply think there will be a
lot of push back at this stage.

Regards,
Mark.
