For CAM content mask syntax (3.4.3), why is the syntax not delegated to regular expression? Most languages already have a built-in powerful regex parsers. Making this CAM specific masking syntax severely cripples the system.
The syntax is not powerful enough for the template developer and unnecessarily complicated for the library developer. Why reinvent the wheel when there is a well tested and widely used solution?
