Chair thanks the TC for all its hard work Topic: editing update Spec: gil: in the main spec fixed the rendering issues in the CSD candidate. The diagrams were funky. Fixed that. gil: no words have been changed. the doc file was not changed, the html file is not changed TA: jacques: with gil's help have fixed ed issues. wd21 is a candidate for PR ... purely cosmetic stuff ... conformance clause is tighter TA WD21: https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/camp/document.php?document_id=52180 Topic: Plans for getting TA to PR: We have a CSD for TA from last weel martin: if we want to progress wd21 to PR then we can motion to replace the one in the ticket. TC Admin has not done anything on it yet. great work jacques on this ... i do have some minor ed feedback Anish's Minor feedback below: 1) 2.3.1 it says "It is recommended that the identifier be made universally unique." I don't think we need universal uniqueness. In fact, ids such as CAMP-405 is not universally unique. Without something like a UUID it is hard and IMHO unnecessary. I suggest the following: "It is recommended that the identifier be made distinct from other CAMP test assertion IDs." 2) 4.1 has a reference to [TAG] it should be [TA-guidelines]. 3) 4.2 says: Implement all test assertions (in the sense defined in Section 2) that are tagged with a conformance tag of value Provider". There are three problems with this: a) The tags are actually 'conformance=Provider'. b) Strike 'in the sense'. c) the TAs are not defined in section 2 but instead various subsections of 3. Same is true for other sibling (to 4.2) sections. TC thinks that these are editorial and not substantive so can be addressed as non-material changes during PR tom: do we need a new CSD number? martin: we can withdraw the previous one and replace it ... as the TC admin not acted on it yet. ... we should undo last week's motion and make wd21 the new CSD along with PR Gil Pilz (Oracle): let's just do the simplest thing that get's us to our end goal discussion on how to best to the replace motion Gil Pilz (Oracle): https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/camp/download.php/52185/camp-ta-v1.1-csd01-candidate-v2.zip MartinC: draft motion: to replace wd19 with wd21 as csd01 referenced in https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/camp/download.php/52185/camp-ta-v1.1-csd01-candidate-v2.zip and for the chair to work with TC Admin to update the TA ticket accordingly MOTION: m:jacques s:gil to replace wd19 with wd21 as csd01 referenced in https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/camp/download.php/52185/camp-ta-v1.1-csd01-candidate-v2.zip and for the chair to work with TC Admin to update the TA ticket accordingly motion approved w/o PR of TA doc MartinC: draft motion: MOTION ... I move that the TC approve submitting Cloud Application Management for Platforms Version Test Assertions 1.1 CSD01 contained in https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/camp/download.php/52185/camp-ta-v1.1-csd01-candidate-v2.zip as PR01 for 30 days public review. TC admin is requested that a latest link to the CAMP-SPEC document be added to the "Related works" section on the cover page MOTION: m:jacques s:anish I move that the TC approve submitting Cloud Application Management for Platforms Version Test Assertions 1.1 CSD01 contained in https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/camp/download.php/52185/camp-ta-v1.1-csd01-candidate-v2.zip as PR01 for 30 days public review. TC admin is requested that a latest link to the CAMP-SPEC document be added to the "Related works" section on the cover page motion approved w/o Chair thanks Jacques for his hard work in producing the TA document. ACTION: chair to update/file tickets for TA PR and TA CSD update Topic: update to main spec gil: the diagrams in HTML/PDF did not look great. ... i generated a new PDF using Word's built-in renderer. This resulted in better visio diagram. Did not touch a single character in the word document ... the HTML figures weren't great. Regenerated the figures by hand and replaced the figures in the package. The HTML file itself is not changed. martin: this is not the package we voted on. We can't update in place ... pdf is the authoritative source Adrian Otto (Rackspace): We voted on that document knowing that it had image rendering problems. We anticipated a cleanup effort. adrian: everyone last week knew that there were some figure rendering problems. So we expected this correction. Won't have any objection to updating it. Gil Pilz (Oracle): https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/camp/download.php/52187/CSD04packageV2.zip revision approved last week: https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/camp/download.php/52131/CSD04package.zip Gil's update at: https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/camp/download.php/52187/CSD04packageV2.zip we approved the zip file "52131" and we can motion to replace it with "52187" ... i.e. replace https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/camp/download.php/52131 with https://www.oasisopen.org/apps/org/workgroup/camp/download.php/52187 MartinC: draft motion: to replace csd04/pr02 from https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/camp/download.php/52131 with https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/camp/download.php/52187 and for the chair to work with TC Admin to update the TA tickets accordingly MOTION: m:anish s:gil to replace camp-spec v1.1 csd04/pr02 from https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/camp/download.php/52131 with https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/camp/download.php/52187 and for the chair to work with TC Admin to update the TC Admin tickets accordingly. It is noted that the only difference between 52131 and 52187 is that the PDF and HTML diagrams are rendered better motion approved w/o The TC celebrates! Topic: future meetings next week's meeting is canceled tom: do we need a call in 2 weeks? alex: in 3 weeks time I have another meeting. Want to make sure i don't lose voting rights. martin: u have to miss 2 weeks in a row to lose voting rights adrian: we'll be getting PR comments, so don't want to cancel too many calls next meeting will be 5th of march. Topic: solum update adrian: in late oct 2013 solum began as a collaboration in openstack ... it does dev automation. makes cloud easy to use ... does orchestration templates ... providing a new API that will generate Heat templates ... and does mgmt ... concepts are based on CAMP ... has sensors, operators, extensions, etc ... not exactly the same ... does not have link and link arrays. does inlining ... doesn't have plan files ... does support multiple version ... not compliant, but would be easy to drop in a CAMP compliant parallel version ... looking for contributors that can do that ... currently not a priority right now the road map is available Adrian Otto (Rackspace): https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Solum Adrian Otto (Rackspace): https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Solum/API ... about 14K lines of code Adrian Otto (Rackspace): http://solum.io ... rackspace, RH, mirantis, and whole bunch of supporting orgs ... 4k lines of code in last 2 months ... new contributors showing up on regular basis ... 1st release (milestone 1) would be in the next 2 months ... a f2f event end of next month (25/26th march) in virginia hosted by RedHat ... it is being referred as a model for how to do collaborative OSS ... it did not start with any seed code ... it started with a vision/concept and all code was developed collaboratively Alex Heneveld: thanks @adrian Topic: AOB gil: urge ppl to make noise about the PR tom: once we have two interoperable impl. we can come up with scenarios and use TAs. We can generate logs for this. discussion on statement of use and exit criteria from the charter: "For all deliverables, the group shall define concrete exit criteria as early as possible. The exit criteria must be met before the deliverable advances to Committee Specification. At a minimum, at least two interoperating implementations of both clients and servers must be available that test the mandatory and optional features of the specification. (Note: optional features may be tested by different implementations that implement different set of optional features (in addition to the mandatory features) as long as pairwise coverage for each optional feature is covered. Each client and each server must be from different respective code bases." jacques: most of the effort should be for main spec tom: the test assertion don't have a client-server model and don't fit the exit criteria. This is for the main spec and not TA doc, so can examine later Topic: straggler prasad added to the roll Alex Heneveld: & congrats to all from me and duncan ! Meeting adjourned
