Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (CAMP-196) should links attribut of colleciton resource be consumer mutable
[ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/CAMP-196?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=60359#comment-60359 ] Tom Rutt commented on CAMP-196: ------------------------------- I would like to point out the single case in our Model which could cause difficulity if we allow the consumer to change the link attribute of a collection: The assembly resource has a component_collection attribute (down pointers) and the component resource has an assembly_collection attribute (up pointers). To add an existing component to another assembly the consumer would have to (in separate http invocations) update the links in both a down pointing collection resource and a different up pointing collection resource. Between these two invoctions, the system state is out of synch. It could introduce inconsistencies in cases of http failures. > should links attribut of colleciton resource be consumer mutable > ---------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: CAMP-196 > URL: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/CAMP-196 > Project: OASIS Cloud Application Management for Platforms (CAMP) TC > Issue Type: Bug > Reporter: Tom Rutt > Assignee: Anish Karmarkar > > The resolution to issue 192 has the links attribute of the collection resource as Mutable true. > However it does not make a requirement for it to be consumer mutable true or false. > In cases of shared components, the administrative user may need to update the collection member links -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.2.2#6258)
