Subject: US Daylight Savings Time [Was: Fwd: [chairs] It's back!]
FYI -------- Forwarded Message --------
No, actually, it's
forward. The clocks in North America that is.
Once again - too soon, I say - most of the U.S. and numerous other political entities in North America will move clocks forward by one hour this Sunday, March 12th. (Not the state of Arizona. No idea why.) This is to ensure that if
you have participants in your TC from other continents /
hemispheres, they'll have a 50-50 chance of missing the next
meeting. ("Wait! Wasn't the meeting at... oh Drat!)
This should resolve itself
when Europe and parts
of the middle east and north Africa change their clocks
across the weekend of 25-26th March.
There's a useful chart showing who adjusts their clocks when, here: http://www.worldtimezone. And a time calculator at: http://www.timeanddate.com/w There are others around as well. So feel free to share
with your TCs as necessary to get through this annual fire
drill smoothly.
Best -
