Here is my review of 3.11: OLD 3.11 Get object extents Synopsis: Programmatic control of zoom effects requires that object extents be retrievable. Discussion: Early practitioners of WebCGM DOM programming applications have identified this utility inquiry method as a valuable asset in their applications. Bounding box extents would suffice. Resolution: 2.1 should define a getObjectExtents method. NEW 3.11 Get object extents Synopsis: For users to do more useful transforms (see Requirement 3.5), information about an APS' position and dimensions are needed. Discussion: Early practitioners of WebCGM DOM programming applications have identified this utility inquiry method as a valuable asset in their applications. Bounding box extents would suffice. It would allow users to determine center points, corners or other points of interest. Resolution: 2.1 should define a getObjectExtents method. Thoughts?
