Subject: Announcing TC Scheduler Workbook
I've recently created a couple of spreadsheets that you'll hopefully find useful. They are combined into a single workbook which is available in both Open Document and Microsoft Office formats along with a video tutorial. The first spreadsheet focuses on starting a new Technical Committee and contains three tables: 1. Submission Date Scheduler - enter the date of the planned/actual draft charter submission the OASIS TC Administrator to see the dates for each following step 2. Meeting Date Scheduler - enter the planned date for the first meeting (either teleconference or face-to-face) and the charter submission date as well as all interim dates are created 3. Call for Participation Scheduler - enter the planned date for the Call for Participation announcement and all prior and following dates are displayed The second tab focuses on the timeline from initial Public Review submission through announcement of the results of an OASIS Standard ballot. The worksheet has two tables - one for a 60-day Public Review and the second for a 15-day Public Review, should additional reviews be required or requested. I've also created an accompanying video tutorial explaining how to use the worksheets. They're available here: Workbook (ods): http://docs.oasis-open.org/templates/TCHandbook/TCScheduler.ods Workbook (xls): http://docs.oasis-open.org/templates/TCHandbook/TCScheduler.xls Video Tutorial: http://docs.oasis-open.org/templates/TCHandbook/TCScheduler/TCScheduler.htm I'd like to hear if you find these useful and if you have suggestions for other similar tools that would make your job as TC Chair/Secretary easier. I'd also like to extend my gratitude to Rob Weir of IBM who taught me how to work with date calculations in a spreadsheet. Thanks again, Rob!
