Subject: Specification URIs - Important. Please Watch.
Hi everyone, As part of my ongoing attempts to eliminate as many of the pain points incurred when submitting a spec for review or ballot as possible, I've created a video that explains: * why we have specification URIs in the first place * the difference between This, Previous and Latest Versions * how to properly construct your spec URIs * how to test to URIs * how to fix your URIs if they're broken You'll see URIs in action - from an HTML format in a browser to Microsoft Word and OpenOffice Writer. The most common reason for specs being rejected is that the URIs are incorrect, invalid, or otherwise wrong. The video is about 15 minutes long. Please take the time to watch it and let me know if you found it helpful or if you still have questions. VIDEO: http://docs.oasis-open.org/templates/videos/URIs.mov Please watch. And please check your documents prior to submitting to tc-admin@lists.oasis-open.org.
