Subject: Re: [cmis] Groups - CMIS Part II - ReSTful AtomPub binding v.60 (CMIS PartII -- ReSTful AtomPub Binding.doc) uploaded

Julian,

It requires JAX-WS, JAXB, and junit + the latest eclipse.

Rest .6 does not have methods in it but describes the binding using resources and http verbs.  .6 and .5 have the same information in status codes currently, in the same table.  Why should this specification include response headers, etags, etc when it is covered by the normative reference to HTTP and AtomPub?  Especially since there is nothing different/new about it in the rest binding?

David,

Please add this discussion to the agenda for Monday.

I looked at the project, and it appears to have a lot of dependencies to
things I don't have here. Is there a document somewhere explaining what
exactly needs to be installed?

That being said, I'm not convinced that automatically generated code can
replace carefully written examples, in particular when it involves
questions like HTTP status codes, methods != GET/POST, response headers,
ETags and so on...
