Subject: Request for comments on the symbolic link proposal
The OASIS CMIS TC has been discussing a proposal for an optional extension to CMIS 1.1 that would add a symbolic link feature. While the existing multi-filing feature of CMIS can support some of the use cases for symbolic links, there are other use cases that cannot be supported with multi-filing. These include multi-filing of file folders, allowing one to file objects other than documents and folders in a folder, and filing a latest accessible state identifier.
