Jim, here are my responses to your comments.

jec1: OK

jec2: I am suggesting that
"message" be the term for what we have been calling an "argument" to an MDE operation.  So, for
example, most of the operations on the FilingReview MDE have signatures that involve multiple messages.  Perhaps the
definitions need to be more clear?

jec3: It will be important for each profile to implement MDEs and
operations.  The term itself is being borrowed from the SOAP and WSDL specifications.  We could also use
"method" or "function", but I would slightly prefer to stick with a messaging-oriented term.  The
signature of an operation is simply a statement of three things:  the name of the operation, the names and types of
each argument, and the type of its (synchronous) return value.

jec5: I think you're right...there is no
real restriction on Content-ID that I can find.  So we might need to revisit the element in the domain model (and
mapping) and make sure it has a suitably generic string type.

Questions about your proposed

Auditing...what does "auditing persons" mean?
