Subject: Re: [cti] Patterning Slides from TC Call

Thanks for the feedback, Allan. As Trey mentioned, the conformance slide was purely a strawman and I think some others shared your concerns about basing conformance on product type. I think we’re in agreement that this is probably not the way to go.

One proposal that we’ve discussed on Slack is basing conformance on the particular set of expressions/operators supported by a product:

Level 1 (full): Comparison Expressions + Observation Qualifiers + Observation Operators
Level 2 (temporal): Comparison Expressions + Observation Qualifiers
Level 3 (basic): Comparison Expressions

Regards,
Ivan

As always, Allan, your presence was missed. ^_^

That slide was a strawman intended to facilitate the TC's discussion
around patterning conformance. Ivan and I never imagined that it would
be construed as a complete solution. I believe that it was explicitly
framed as a strawman during the oral presentation but not in the
accompanying slide deck, hence the confusion.

Let's table the topic for further discussion during tomorrow's working
call (assuming the TAXII boys have a bit of wiggle room in their
    agenda.)
