Events are always sent to the “real” profile, and segments are actually copied into a profile property so a persona simply has a set of fixed segments.

For the moment real time segments are not supported on personas.

Yes that is a functionality already present in Unomi. Basically functions like an override for the current profile. And it’s also possible to change some properties on-the-fly to test personalization.
