Subject: Cleaning up our list of articles [was: New DITA 1.2 feature article published by the DITA Adoption TC...]
Re: You also
can see a complete list of the DITA 1.2 feature articles issued by the OASIS
DITA Adoption Committee at http://dita.xml.org/wiki/oasis-dita-adoption-committee Perhaps, but one is supposed to be able to see a complete list of
the DITA Adoption TC's approved articles at http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=dita-adoption#expository and I don't see this one listed there. The titles listed on xml.org do not match those lists on our TC
page--I don't see why not. Diving into each articles, it looks like (TC page
listing on the left, xml.org on the right): DITA 1.2 Feature Description: Conref Push <-> Conref
push DITA 1.2 Keyref: Feature Description <-> Keyref Glossary Specialization - Best Practices (.doc) <-> Glossary
and terminology specialization DITA 1.2 Glossary and Terminology Specialization Feature
Description (.pdf) <-> Glossary and terminology specialization (same as
previous) DITA 1.2 Referencing a Range of Elements: Feature Description
<-> Conref range [There is nothing on the TC page] <-> Improved glossary
and terminology handling (I was somewhat amazed to discover that two entries with quite
different titles are just the .doc and .pdf version of the same article.
This needs to be cleaned up.) We need to get the list on our TC page up to date, and if we are
going to maintain two "complete list of the DITA 1.2 feature articles",
then we need to make sure they match one another. Given that our public TC page's "Expository Work Produced by
the Committee" list is supposed to be the authoritative list of all our
TC's work, I suggest that we should not announce a DITA Adoption TC publication
until we have added it to that list. Please put this issue on our agenda for next Monday's meeting. paul From: Kristen James Eberlein
