"dita.xml.org" is the domain name for the OASIS-supported focus area for the DITA standard. In effect, the activity is "the Subcommittee running under the DITA Adoption TC in charge of the DITA Focus Area {wiki/knowledgebase/blog/magazine} on the domain dita.xml.org." We couldn't make that harder if we tried.
Unfortunately, the inherited logo brands the domain name rather than "DITA Focus Area," and now that I see how confusing that branding might be, I'll ask Keith to add this issue for discussion by the FASC--how should we brand the revised site, and what freedoms may we get from OASIS to come up with a primary logo/name (keeping the old one in the sidebar, maybe).

The charter of this subcommittee looks reasonable to me.
My only comment is that I do not understand the title "DITA Adoption Focus Area SC". Why isn't it something-something "dita.xml.org" something-something?
(And does the answer to my question have any bearing on what the contents of the charter should be?)
Keith, Kris, Don, and company have an updated draft of their subcommittee charter available for us to review. I dropped it into the following OASIS wiki page.
