Sorry, I read numbers at the end of the invitation in too much haste.

 

We're having a gale here today. I had just got my Comcast connnection working--it supports both my phone and broadband--and was scrambling to get in to the call. The connection dropped again shortly after my comment as one "representing a company that isn't a developer of DITA-aware XML tools". I just now got back on line.

 

Sorry I missed most of the call.

 

I gather our work was being questioned on the supposition that a perceived benefit to Quark motivated it. I thought you dealt well with that challenge. How our work was done is a matter of record, others than Quark are involved, others were invited, and yes we should get representatives of more tools vendors--but in any case they will be involved at the TC level. (Probably there were other parts of the response, and of the questioning too, but that's what I got in my relatively brief window of participation.) If that response isn't enough, then the TC is the place to vet such concerns about the appearance of conflict of interest; and if one doesn't trust the TC's vendor neutrality, then OASIS.
