Subject: <note type="warning">Please implement imperative requirements by existing standards</note>
Dear
Sirs ANSI
Z535 and other international (ISO, EN etc.) standards have generally agreed on
a 3-stage danger warning strategy. These stages are indicated by 3 specific
catch words: “Danger”, “Warning” and “Caution”
(ANSI Z535 also specifies “Note” for possible damages only, i.e. no
injuries to persons). For
the note element, the DITA specification knows the types Danger and Caution
(and also Note), but it is lacking Warning. Could
you please include this attribute and have it behaving in a similar way as Danger
and Caution? Thank
you in anticipation. Yours
sincerely Johannes
