OASIS Members,

OASIS is pleased to announce the approval and publication of an OASIS Committee Note (CN) by the members of the OASIS Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) TC [1]:

DITA 1.3: Why Three Editions? Version 1.0
Committee Note 01
17 November 2015

Overview:

DITA 1.3, the most recent OASIS Standard, is distributed in three editions to better serve the needs of specific user communities:

- Core DITA
- Technical content
- Learning, training, and instructional design

This Committee Note explains the rationale for the three editions, provides an overview of what each edition contains, describes the intended audience of each edition, and provides metrics about each edition.
