Hi Tony

Even though it would appear the current subcommittee can publish the guide, I personally think it would be very helpful to clone. Not only would each SC potentially have a better focus, but I would get the 48 hours a day I currently need.

Before going down this route we should review/renew the discussion I remember about where -- WRT help systems -- specialization stops and implementation begins.

Hi Tony,

  The charter of the DITA TC was not changed in any way; whatever was allowable previously is still allowable. That said, there's no reason not to have parallel subcommittees - one working on the actual DITA specialization and another working on its adoption.
