Subject: RE: [dita-learningspec] FW: ASTD TK08 Conference Call for Proposals

Reuben

I know ADL will support a presentation/demonstration where the learning information models we have created can be shown to work in the DITA and in the S1000D architectures. It would be important to distinguish when to use DITA and when to use S1000D. We can help educate the technical data-producing public that when tech data requires life cycle logistics, configuration, naming conventions and links to a diversity supportability documentation, S1000D is appropriate. When technical data is not tied to the configuration, equipment and the like, DITA can fit.

From an ADL and SCORM point of view, showing the learning models' interoperability between specs is a good approach to educating the public what is possible and available.

I think this would be an excellent opportunity for us to present work in progress to the training and development community. Any thoughts?
