1) I have taken a closer look at Scott's LOM metadata work at:

     http://wiki.oasis-open.org/dita/IMSLOMdesign

     and see that it is very complete.  Nothing has jumped out at me 
that needs attention.  Thanks, Scott.

2) I have reviewed the topic spec indexed at:  
demo/learningsc/outot/index_topic_elements.html and have the following 
comments/suggestions/observations:

  a) demo/learningsc/outot/index_topic_elements.html and 
demo/learningsc/outot/learningOverview.html:

     word "as" missing as in:

     learningOverview topic type

A Learning Overview topic identifies the learning objectives, includes 
other information helpful to the learner, such *<as>* prerequisites, 
duration, intended audience, and can include information and strategies 
that seeks to gain attention and stimulate recall of prior learning.

  b) demo/learningsc/outot/learningSummary.html:

    one word to add that I think would clarity (achievement or 
accomplishment) as in:

learningSummary topic type

A Learning Summary recaps and provides context for the *<achievement 
of>* or *<accomplishment of>* learning objectives, provides guidance to 
reinforce learning and long-term memory, and may pose questions to 
enhance encoding and verification of the learning content.

  c) demo/learningsc/outot/learningAssessment.html:

    suggested rewording:

learningAssessment topic type

A Learning Assessment presents instruments *<questions or interactions 
instead of instruments>* that measure progress, encourage retrieval 
*<recollection instead of retrieval>*, and stimulate reinforcement of 
the learning content, and can be presented before the content as a 
pre-assessment or as a post-assessment test. The interactions use a 
sub-set of the Question-Test Interoperability (QTI) specification, 
implemented as a DITA domain specialization.

   d) demo/learningsc/outot/lcAsset.html:

        has a blank Example section

   e) Consistency issue:

topic pages that do not have an example block.
